The Jamie Bulger case
|
I never really followed the case at the time and didn't know any of the details, but the recent discussion about the Oscar-nominated film prompted me to look at its Wiki page.
It's hard to know what to say.
Kids can be vile little brats, but this takes things to a whole new level. It seems to have been more than a prank that went out of control. At what age can kids be evil - in the true sense of the word? Did Venables and Thompson really understand the severity of what they were doing?
That poor little fellow. What must have been going through his mind?

In answer to your last question, I believe it might have been the wheels of the 15;30 to Wigan.

I had a big discussion about gallows humour with someone yesterday, and said I cherish it and will never give it up; not in this world.
Gallows humour helps to protect you from the truly terrible.
Would it be better to try and answer your question sincerely? Do you really want to know what was going through the poor child’s mind? If so, the question is sicker than the joke.

The scum bag of a director making money out of a toddlers horrific death is despicable and to try and make out that the 2 killers were hard done by makes my blood boil.
Karma can be a bitch and I hope it catches up with the director.

It's all right, old fella, I know where you were coming from.
Anyway, according to Wiki he was already dead by then.

The real reason for Jamie being on his own when abducted has never been public knowledge. He did not "wander off".

His mother said it happened very quickly, while she was in a shop paying for something.

Should have been locked up forever from day one.
Some "people" are not redeemable, as the one who keeps being done under various new identities for noncing is proving.

Bit of a touchstone case this, for me.
I remember reading about this the morning after a midweek match (I believe) and at the time thinking I had never heard of a case do depraved an amoral in my lifetime.
It was the first time I actually thought that there were major, major societal problems to be faced in the coming years. While that may have been true, it is hard to think of a crime more horrific in this country since.

The press are cunts.
And so are the police and "justice system" for spending our taxes on protecting these 2.

The family of Jamie Bulger were not informed there was a movie being made about their Sons Murder. His Mum said it brings back memories of his abduction and murder
There if a petition going to remove from the Oscars list they have refused to remove it and the Irish shitcunt that made the movie remove it either
He is getting caned on Twitter and rightly so
Boycott the movie

There just doesn’t need to be a film made about this.
What they did to him is fucking horrific. From what I gather some things to horrific to even report on.
Can’t find a single way to defend those two sick fucks. Plenty of people have very unfortunate upbringings yet don’t do things like that. They knew what they were doing was very, very wrong.

It must be awful for the parents if they weren’t consulted about it. My brothers lived in Liverpool for 20 odd years and the rumors about why she left Jamie alone must be pretty awful for them to hear also, I assume they weren’t true.

She was with a shop security guard at the time or busy robbing. Just nasty gossip though I imagine.

Is it a busy shopping centre. I expect there would have been plenty of witnesses if she wasn't telling the truth.

The rumours have always been that she was shoplifting. Never been verified obviously and almost impossible to either way anyway. Just a way for the "hehe scousers are thiefs" brigade to have a pop and probably would have been similar "rumours" if it happened in East London.
